Accessibility Statement

Our Goal
This site should be usable by anyone, whether you browse with a screen reader, move around by keyboard alone or rely on some other assistive tool. The standard we hold it to is Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
How We Build the Site
We use plain HTML with headings in a clear order. Text stands out well from its background. Every image has alt text that says what it shows.
Every form field has a label, and the forms work without JavaScript. We never use color alone to show information. The Tab key alone takes you to each link and button on a page.
Ongoing Checks
Accessibility isn't a one-time task. We check each new page against the same standard. If something doesn't work with the tools you use, please tell us so we can fix it.
Report a Problem
Hit a page you can't use? Phone (737) 259-7007 or write to us on the contact page. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. Name the assistive tool you use, if any. We'll work to fix it quickly.
Outside Sites
This site links to cities, water providers and the USDA soil survey. It also links to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and other public sources. How well those sites work with assistive tools is up to them, not us.
Get a Free Foundation Inspection
Tell us what you've noticed, and we'll put you in touch with a local professional who can come and look. They'll explain what they find and what your choices are. The visit is free, and you're not committing to anything.
